The AD-714 is the strongest read range performer in the HF media management portfolio from Avery Dennison RFID. The AD-714 has a larger antenna structure enabling it to extend its read range further than the AD-709 and AD-720. Ideal for library book tagging, media asset tracking applications and event ticketing applications, the AD-714 is ISO 15693 and ISO 18000-3 mode-1 compliant. The AD-714 operates at the International Science and Medical Radio Frequency of 13.56MHz. It is a battery free tags which utilizes the NXP SLI chip offering 896 bits of user memory to enable Electronic article surveillance, Application Family Identifier security functionality, Library check-on check out, Inventory tracking and self checkout functionality.
The 45 mm x 76mm footprint was established provide the most possible range for applications range requirements requiring reading a book moving through a door entryway while still being small enough to remain inconspicuous within a library book.
Format available in The AD-714 is available as a dry inlay (PET layer with metal antenna and integrated circuit attached and over-laminated with a final PET layer for added environmental protection) and a pressure sensitive backed inlay design for integration into label conversion processes
Applications data: dBuA / Meter translated to read range (in millimeters) showing the AD-714 performance. The exhibit below shows typical HF tag values and the linear trend line to distance they demonstrate.
