The AD-833 possesses orientation insensitive reading capability, which allows for reading at any angle (no dead spots). Typical dipole designs have a null reading zone on their antenna tips which means there is always a read angle in which you cannot read the tag. The AD-833 has no null zones by virtue of the dual port design of the Impinj Monza 3 integrated circuit which allows for a double antenna structure eliminating the null zone. The orientation insensitivity feature is ideal in applications where the item being tagged has a random orientation relationship to the reader (e.g. tagged passenger baggage moving through the baggage handling system of an airport). Strong read ranges mean high read rates, increasing system reliability. The AD-833 is specially designed to comply with the specifications of the IATA RP1740c for airline baggage handling applications. The inlay circuit is tuned for global frequency operations and performs well on many dielectric substrates. By utilizing the EPC compliant 96 bit Impinj Monza 3 integrated circuit, the AD-833 provides excellent read ranges which helps to increase system level data capture reliability and allows you to program tags at almost the same distance you can read tags for greater degrees of freedom in your programming operations.
The AD-833 performs extremely well and exhibits solid wide band performance and orientation insensitivity:
