Tuned for general purpose use for global applications, the AD-224 RFID inlay comes with a factory programmed and locked unique ID in addition to 240 bits EPC memory with optional 512 bits extra user memory. Utilizing the NXP G2x chip platform, the AD-224 delivers more memory, has a pre-loaded serial ID number and delivers strong read ranges. The AD-224 is EPCglobal C1G2 1.0.9 certified and compliant to EPCglobal C1G2 1.1.0 and ISO 18000-6C. The AD-223 provides reliable global operational capability by reducing variation in read range performance across the 860 – 960MHz UHF band. This enables one inlay to be used regardless of geographic deployment.

The AD-224 can deliver to your asset tracking system: Unique ID and optional user memory allowing for your custom applications beyond an EPC number, simplified qualification processes by providing a “ one tag fits many” applications capability, comes in tightly pitched high yield rolls for high product density and can reduce roll change-out interruptions which means cost savings for you.
Features:
- Designed for all-purpose use and tuned for optimal performance using many material substrates across global UHF frequencies (860 to 960MHz)
- Unique 32 bit serial number, factory programmed and locked
- 240 bit EPC memory with an additional 512 bit user memory option
- EPCglobal C1G2 1.0.9 certified, compliant to EPCglobal C1G2 1.1.0
- Available in tightly pitched high yield / high capacity rolls which integrate seamlessly into high-volume converting processes
- Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) custom command
- Read protect custom command
- Calibrate custom command
Advantages:
- Inlay circuit is tuned for global frequency operations across many dielectric substrates to create an all-purpose tag retaining good performance across a wide variety of materials and applications
- Unique 32 bit serial number, factory programmed and locked, eliminating the need to program tags downstream with unique numbers
- Extra user memory enables more applications that require additional data beyond the EPC number such as life cycle verification, warranty tracking, expiry dates, work in process, routing or quality data
- Tight pitched densely arrayed inlays allows you to pack more inlays on a roll reducing roll change-outs and labor
- The EAS security feature allows the tag to be used as an anti-theft device by sending an alarm signal to a reader if the tag has not been deactivated by the business application software when moving through a reader gate
- Read protection helps to prevent unauthorized memory access by requiring a password handshake with the reader and can protect potentially sensitive data in the memory
- Calibrate custom command send a continuous data stream that enables easier tag to reader communications evaluation and application performance fine tuning
Benefits:
- Strong read ranges and read rates improve system data reliability and increases efficiency, throughput. Reduces costs associated with missing data or line stoppages
- Simplicity of qualification and application adaptability (Global operation, one-tag-fits-many applications) reducing overall tagging costs
- Additional user memory allows you to configure your tag data for custom applications, extending the utility of the EPC solution to support additional efficiency and service improvement programs like carrying a maintenance record, WIP updatable record or product expiration dates for asset utilization management
- Helps keep shelves stocked, improves accuracy in inventory counts, security features reduced theft and loss, thereby reducing operational costs and increasing sales lift
Markets and Applications:
- Supply Chain carton, pallet and item level tagging
- Retail
- Aviation baggage tagging
- Containers / Returnable Transport Units
- Industrial / Factory AIDC Asset tracking
